They say "Rugby is a game played by men with odd balls". It’s true! The ball is oval shaped and looks a bit like a torpedo when thrown.

It's similar to football, but the players can carry the ball in their hands, run with it and tackle each other. The game originated from Rugby school in Warwickshire.

For many years Rugby was considered a sport only played by the rich English upper class. Not anymore. Nowadays people from all walks of life, regardless of education, country, status, or wealth, take part in the sport. Every year, England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France and Italy come together and battle it out for the epic "Six Nations Cup".
