The London Eye Millennium Wheel is definitely the best way to see London. The views from the giant London Eye Ferris Wheel are absolutely spectacular. You can see for miles out across the city. You’ll have a true bird’s eye view of London, the Thames River and all the other ancient sights. It’s located in London’s Jubilee Gardens, on the South Bank of the River Thames, just across from Houses of Parliament.

Known as the "Eiffel Tower of Britain", the London Eye Ferris Wheel is the largest of its kind in the world. Standing at 450 feet, it's massive. It completely dominates the skyline. It can hold up to 8000 people daily. The structure has 32 large glass capsules each capable of holding 25 people.

The ride itself takes around 30 minutes in total. At a consistent, slow pace it takes fifteen minuets each way from the top and 15 minuets to descend. It hardly even feels like you're moving, but when you reach the top you'll really feel how high up you are!

You might have to wait in line for a while before getting on, so be prepared. Although the capsules have air conditioning, it can get very hot inside during the summer, so it's probably best to dress in layers.

If it's not too packed you can walk around the capsule and see London from all angles. It's magnificent! Don't forget your camera...from the top you can see all along the River Thames, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, MI5 (U.K.'s Secret Service), the Houses of Parliament, St. Paul's Cathedral and much much more!
